On June 16th we posted a recipe for Lettuce Burritos. Here are pictures of the lettuce we used and one of the most active participants helping with cooking and eating! Every week, cooking demos are done in the lobby of the building to build the production-consumption link of the farm project.
The rooftop is now providing space for families to grow their own food. Tenants at Intervale Green are starting to get down and dirty to learn about farming and feeding their families. Below are a few pictures from day one. They planted sugar snap peas, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and jalapeno peppers.
